Technical Features
WebCodecs API
Built on the latest WebCodecs technology, using your browser's native codecs for processing 5-10x faster than traditional solutions
Hardware Acceleration
Automatically leverages GPU hardware acceleration for video encoding, significantly lowering CPU usage and keeping things smooth even with large files
Smart Adaptation
Automatically handles videos of different sizes with smart center alignment, keeping the aspect ratio intact
💡 Tips
Keep sizes consistent
We recommend merging videos of the same resolution for the best results. Videos of different sizes will be automatically center-aligned
Format Recommendations
Choose MP4 for broad device compatibility; choose WebM for smaller files on the web
Browser Requirements
A modern browser with WebCodecs support is required — Chrome 94+, Edge 94+, or Opera 80+ recommended
Reorder
Drag to reorder, or use the up/down arrow buttons to fine-tune each video's position
Frequently Asked Questions
How many videos can I join?
In theory there's no limit, but we recommend merging no more than 20 videos at a time. More videos mean longer processing time. For large batches, process in groups and merge again.
Can I merge videos of different formats?
Yes. The tool automatically decodes different formats (MP4, WebM, MOV, etc.) and re-encodes them into your chosen output format. Note that mixing formats may take more processing time.
What if videos have different dimensions?
The tool uses the first video's dimensions as the output size. Videos of different sizes are centered with their original aspect ratio preserved, and any extra space is filled with black. For the best results, unify video sizes before uploading.
How long does merging take?
Processing speed depends on total duration, resolution, and your device's performance. As a rule of thumb, merging three 1-minute 1080p videos takes about 1-2 minutes. WebCodecs makes this 5-10x faster than traditional solutions.
Why does a specific browser matter?
The tool uses the latest WebCodecs API technology, which is currently only supported in modern browsers like Chrome 94+, Edge 94+, and Opera 80+. WebCodecs provides hardware acceleration and high-performance video processing.
Will merging reduce video quality?
By default, the tool encodes at a high bitrate (2 Mbps video + 128 Kbps audio) to preserve good quality. Since re-encoding is needed, there's a slight quality loss compared to the original, but it's barely noticeable in most cases.
