Frequently Asked Questions
What audio formats are supported?
Reads MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A and other popular formats. Output supports MP3, WAV, OGG, and FLAC — covering virtually every common audio format.
What is the maximum file size I can process?
File size is mainly limited by your device's memory. For the best experience, we recommend files under 500 MB. Most MP3 and WAV files fall well within this limit.
Will trimming reduce audio quality?
Trimming re-encodes the audio. WAV and FLAC output is lossless, preserving full quality. MP3 output uses a high-quality setting — the difference is virtually imperceptible to the human ear.
How can I trim with millisecond precision?
Drag the playback position to where you want, then click "Set as current time" to lock it in. The slider has 0.1-second precision. For finer control, play to the exact spot before clicking.
Will my files be uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser — your audio file never leaves your device. We use WebCodecs technology for fully client-side processing that keeps your privacy intact.
Can I output in the same format as the input?
Yes. When you load a file, the tool automatically detects its format and pre-selects the same output format (e.g. MP3 → MP3, WAV → WAV). You can also switch to a different format manually.
